OCTOBER 2014 BEAUTY REVIEW

The October 2014 GlowwBox beauty box is filled with amazing products to review. Ever one to appreciate a good lipstick, the Lord and Berry lipstick is a must-have. The colour ‘Brick Lip’ is an elegant subtle almost ‘nude’ shade. It has a flawless satin finish, which is the perfect balance between gloss and matte. Additionally, it has a great creamy texture, which after hours of wear, still feels moisturised.

EYES

After applying all your makeup, eyeliner and all, the Nazila ‘Silver Lining Luxurious eyelashes makes a dazzling finish. These false lashes are easy to apply, even for novices. The Nazila lashes come with a small tube of glue even though the lashes already have adhesive applied to them. These lashes are fun and glitzy for a night out and saves you applying your own glitter liner if you were planning on it. But be aware that if you take them off while you’re still out, these suckers will take your eyeliner off with them. Yes even if it’s the soft Black Opal Lining Pencil from the 1 year beauty box.

When it comes to makeup removal, simple baby wipes work well but even that can leave residue around the eyes. Therefore the Eye Makeup Remover Lotion by Byphasse was a keen try. Even though it has more of a toner consistency than a lotion, it has a nice scent & is soothing as well as cooling on the skin. It works well for even sensitive eyes and is worth the extra cotton pads required.

HAIR

It’s easy to say yes to anything with Argan oil. Therefore the Silverlace’s Argan oil ‘thairapy’ moisture vitality shampoo and the conditioner are great additions to the pretty beauty box for the October 2014 review. The shampoo smelled luscious but was a bit of a pain to get out of the bottle due to its custard/glue-like consistency, thankfully its awesome lather action made up for that. The conditioner smelled & worked like a charm, allowing the comb to easily glide through thick hair, so it’s a winner.
