An effortless monochrome look accomplished with laid-back style is easy for anyone to achieve and is a great go-to in a classic wardrobe. Laid back style is not about dressing like you’ve given up on life, it’s not even necessarily about how to do a casual day look. It’s really about the chic & effortless combination of wardrobe staples, that can also combine to make a great capsule collection. It can consist of casual basics and tailored pieces that can be worn on any day and for most occasions.
PICKING THE RIGHT PIECES
This laid back monochrome look is what effortless elegance and sophistication looks like, when you can easily pull and pair pieces from your closet that compliment each other and all without losing brain cells. It features individual pieces that when combined with other style items can smoothly create many more looks to suit your lifestyle and they all transition well too. The black faux leather pencil skirt is an easy piece to style. This is because it works well with any top, from sequins to knitwear and even lace. While the white tee is a classic that works well with jeans as well as under blazers and dresses. A fedora adds a classic cool finish to any look & can stylishly cover up a bad hair day if needed.
LAID BACK ISN’T JUST MONOCHROME
As you continually evolve in style and life, laid back style can become a staple term for you and it doesn’t even have to be all monochrome. Monochrome is a classic look, that is flattering on most people and is easy to style. But there are many ways to do laid back style outside of black, white & grey, that you needn’t feel limited. It should not feel demanding because it is all about easy style that ultimately leaves time for doing more important things, like reflection. Just like the glass’ reflection in the pictures, we all need to take the time to look at & into ourselves. Because often reflection, relaxation and recuperation have been long overdue.

I love this look and think the hat added a nice touch! Laid back is more of me on my every day and I feel I don't always portray that on the blog but plan on showing that more at times. I do think the location and the post about reflection is perfect. I agree that things can look great on the outside but chaotic on the inside and agree 100% that reflection, relaxation, recuperation are so necessary, it helps to maintain! Great post Abigail! Xx
Gorgeous x
Very cool pictures. And I love your grey fedora! This is such a great look Abigail, I love seeing your laid back style too. It's so important to take time to reflect and clear the mind. I find that I haven't been doing that as much lately and I'm long overdue.
