How to style a green parka is not what used to come to mind for the often large jackets designed with fur hoods for the cold. But with many lighter & brighter styles these days, your options to make it a part of your outfit are vast. Although fall weather might not be attractive, the thought of wearing statement coats and the fun of layering is. Once the cold really rolls around, it’s hard not to want to disappear under Eskimo-like layering but style must persevere whatever the weather.
This green parka jacket is easy to style because, admittedly it is a lot lighter than the usual padded winter parkas with thick hoods. Its slim design allows for it to be cinched in at the waist with a belt. While the fabric falls flatteringly over the black midi dress it is layered over. Some thicker women’s parkas also have drawstring or belt designs that allow for a more flattering silhouette too. Because parka jackets naturally have a casual look to them, try styling them in neutral colours for sophistication and pairing them with more tailored pieces. Lastly, accessories make all the difference as with the grey fedora and pointy shoes that add a more elegant finish

Ha! I totally agree with you. There comes a time every winter where I just stop caring and all I want to do is disappear under every piece of clothing I own. You look fabulous though and I love the hat!

I know what you mean! The novelty of fall and winter falls flat by the time January rolls around for me. Anyhow, you look fabulous despite the cooler temps 🙂
