If you’ve ever wanted to get in on the pyjama trend but just couldn’t take the leap, styling a striped silk shirt is an easy chic way to try it. A silk shirt is an effortless piece to style, whether or not you’re trying out the pyjama trend as daywear, which might feel a bit daunting or silly. It not only works as daywear styled with jeans but you can style it in many ways for various occasions. For instance, because this striped silk shirt has a nice longline length, it can also be styled as a dress. With a sleeveless jacket worn over it, as shown in styling a striped shirt dress, it will look fabulous.
The trick to getting a pyjama style shirt outfit right is the fabric and colour. Of course a silky material adds glamour, while monochrome or rich colour shades add a sense of sophistication & luxury. When it comes to prints, stick with the classics such as stripes & even polk dots, otherwise stick to block colours. Loud prints work best if you’re taking the trend all the way with a co-ord set.
It’s easy to style a striped print shirt with distressed denim for casual daywear but for a more dressy day vibe, you can tuck it into a leather pencil skirt. For the evening, letting the shirt flow over leather leggings, strappy heels and a clutch will add some allure. Alternatively, this laid-back summer look is perfect for a lunch date and casual work days.
