HOW TO WEAR A TULLE SKIRT IN WINTER

When it comes to winter wear, a tulle skirt doesn’t exactly come at the top of the list but styled right, anything can work. Now usually skirts work best with tights in the winter but for more elegance & less ballerina, bare legs are fine. Of course, there are always exceptions to make tights work with tulle skirts. Like picking shorter lengths, as shown in this ugly Christmas sweater style challenge and picking more sheer options.

This simple but chic grey look features a knee length tulle skirt that has enough layers for warmth, so bare legs are not an issue. In a steel coloured grey, the skirt pairs perfectly with a grey roll neck top. Because the top is fitted and tucked into the full skirt, it creates a flattering and feminine shape. Finally, for a pop of colour, and added texture and contrast to the look, have fun with your accessories, like the burgundy faux fur scarf or coat and burgundy Strap Court heels. It’s a great idea to add the finishing touches to a tulle skirt in a contrasting but complimentary colour, as this creates a striking winter outfit to wear for an evening dinner. Red works beautifully with grey but you can also use black, dark green or mustard.
