Burgundy is a great colour to wear, its rich and elegant tone is effortless to style, whether in jeans or for most of your outfit, like this one. I wore this look to attend the New Look Discover Denim event this week. This look turned out to be a good ‘comfy’ day ensemble, even this was not meant to be the case. But sadly due to the constant rain down pour, the original outfit plans with heels and no hat, were simply washed away and replaced with black wellies and a beanie. The burgundy jeans with its baroque detailing are a lovely focal point of the outfit. So pairing them with a plain knit jumper & beanie hat in similar shades, creates a nice monochrome look.
The bomber jacket is a great way to incorporate sports-luxe into the outfit, which is a popular trend right now. It was also a great way to balance out the colours of the outfit. Usually not an advocate of wearing things matchy-matchy to make style-sense, there are times when it does work and this burgundy look is one of those times. It’s always a good idea to break up the colours with different shades and don’t be afraid to be daring with prints and textures.
