Sequins can be such a pretty, feminine and elegant fabric to wear, so why not wear double for valentines day. This valentines date outfit was something a bit sparkly and flirty. Although sequins can be quite flashy, wearing them in more toned down colours, will have them looking demure and sophisticated. Pairing the black sequin top with a beautiful burgundy sequin skirt gave a lovely shimmery romantic effect. And by choosing a short length skirt while wearing a high neck top added a feminine and elegant balance by not showing too much skin.
Another great way to play down an overload of sequins is to either break it up with a solid colour or fabric. For this look, adding a vintage black velvet blazer over the sequin top and skirt really added some layers and balance. A ‘LOVE’ embellished hair clip added more girly touches as well as a nice hint of colour. Simply suede court heels were worn to compliment the blazer and complete the look. Ultimately, a wonderful Valentines day date outfit doesn’t have to include double sequins, you can even wear black for Valentines day if that tickles your fancy. But whatever you wear should include Love and Style.
