This pretty lace pleat dress is how you wear three of Autumn/Winter’s biggest trends which are Oxblood, peplum and lace all at once and still look simple and elegant. Oxblood is the luscious dark red hue with purple and brown undertones and the great thing about it is that it goes best with colours you most likely already have in your wardrobe like blue, black and grey. I styled this dress with simple black heels to compliment the top lace peplum detail. The cinched waist detail perfectly accentuates my figure, while the full skirt is so sweet and playful.
I wore this look for a dinner date while on holiday in the sun and it was comfortable and flattering. Once the evening got chillier, the dress looked great under a cropped leather jacket. As quite a graceful piece, this style of dress should be kept as evening wear. But should you feel tempted to style it otherwise, an oversized denim jacket and studded sandals would make it work as a great festival outfit idea.
There are many ways to wear oxblood like this oxblood sparkle outfit idea. One of the best ways to indulge in the fabulous fall trend is wearing oxblood coloured footwear. It’s easier to style, more versatile and most cost effective way to step up.
