The right tweed piece can have the look of luxury, so wearing a fabulous tweed cape will no doubt look lavish. I wore this classic brown tweed cape last week to attend the Kohatu + Petros press day in the city. For styling, I paired it with a simple black ensemble of tailored crop trousers and a faux leather top. I then accessorised with brown and gold add-ons. To add even more grandeur to the outfit, I layered a black faux fur scarf over the cape for style and practicality.
The pretty multi coloured necklace above and wrap bracelet below are both pieces from Kohatu + Petros’ new jewellery collection. They are clearly statement pieces but still so versatile and compliment the look well. Although tweed is considered “country casual” rather than formal, this outfit worked positively as a great smart-casual ensemble. I have a fondness for tweed and it’s classic style, but I usually tend to prefer it in blazers and jackets due do its often weighty fabric. But I can from time from time make an exception for a good tweed dress as shown in understanding your personal style.
