Monochrome when done right is such a chic, clean and powerful outfit option, especially in bold colours such as black, red, pink or neutrals. This outfit idea shows you how to be ravishing, powerful and still stylish in a monochrome red look.
Although monochrome is about a one colour look, it doesn’t have to be completely one shade, tone or even texture. Adding dimension to a monochrome look is what I love most. I enjoy creating all black outfits due to this reason, which I mentioned in understanding your personal style. Another idea for creating a monochrome red outfit is pairing burgundy with reds and even purples. They blend so well and make a great monochrome look similar to that shown in wearing sequins the casual way.
For accessories, I gave the outfit some real punch by adding pink highlights with the bag and jewellery. While this not only broke up the overpowering continuation of red, it also added some cuteness to what would otherwise be quite a strong look. Of course red accessories would also be a great styling option too. The beautiful red slingback heels are just complementary to this outfit, certainly adding the finishing feminine touch.
For the warmer season, you can certainly pull this look off with just a bralet underneath. This will allow the accessories to add the layers required. Although I normally wouldn’t pair statement necklaces and earrings together but the lack of layers and simple blazer with a bralet look can handle such a combination. For a stand out winter look, try adding a red fur coat or long tailored jacket slung over the blazer. Finally, if you’d prefer a more casual outfit, rocking a bright red or plain white tee under the blazer would be just as charming.
